He played his last game for the Citizens almost 2 years ago in August 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The French international full back was already cleared of six counts of rape and one count of sexual assault after a court case in January.<\/p>\n<p>Now a free man Mendy has vowed to return to top flight football as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Manchester City Benjamin Mendy has been cleared of all accusation of rape and attempted rape.
