Rickie Fowler is aiming for his first major trophy at British Open, an event he has done well in the past.<\/p>\n
The American is currently in a fine run of form and finished runner-up last time the event took place, behind Rory Mcllroy.<\/p>\n
He arrives in England having just having just clinched victory, which ended his winless drought, that lasted almost 4 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cGood time to be here,\u201d Fowler said on Tuesday. \u201cObviously played good here in \u201914, coming off the play this year and how we\u2019ve been playing. And nice to have a win under our belt now. Definitely looking forward to this week.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fowler was unimpressive at the Scottish Open, finishing tied for 42nd, but that bothered him very little as he clinched the Rocket Mortgage Classic earlier in the year.<\/p>\n
