{"id":440078,"date":"2023-07-19T03:01:50","date_gmt":"2023-07-19T07:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=440078"},"modified":"2023-07-19T03:25:39","modified_gmt":"2023-07-19T07:25:39","slug":"federations-will-distribute-payments-from-fifa-womens-world-cup","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/federations-will-distribute-payments-from-fifa-womens-world-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"Federations will distribute payments from FIFA Women&#8217;s World Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FIFA President Gianni Infantino said on Wednesday that the member federations will distribute the $30,000 payments promised to every player at the Women\u2019s World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>He said at a news conference ahead of the tournament opener that he\u2019s engaging with member federations on the issue as the payments are made to the national federations, which are expected to pay the players.<\/p>\n<p>There is no mechanism to directly pay the players the money, which could be life-changing for some.\u201cWe are moving of course in the right direction, we have been consulting with associations, with players, to try to go in the right path,\u201d Infantino said. \u201cWe have issued these recommendations, but we have an association of associations. So whatever payments we do, we will go through the associations and then the associations will, of course, make the relevant payments to their own players.
