Rory Mcllroy missed a chance for first major trophy in 34 attempt at the British Open as he fell short to eventual winner Brian Harman.<\/p>\n
Despite the loss, the 34-year-old rates his performance highly as he achieved his seventh top 10 finish in the last 8 majors he has taken part in.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the last two years would I have loved to have picked one of those off that I finished up there? Absolutely,\u201d McIlroy said. \u201cBut every time I tee it up, or most times I tee it up, I\u2019m right there. I can\u2019t sit here and be too frustrated. You think about my performances in the majors between like 2016 and 2019, it\u2019s a lot better than that.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Irishman finished tied in 6th after a final-round 3-under 68. That put him 7 shots behind eventual winner Harman.<\/p>\n
