C.J. Stroud is not worried that the Panthers picked No.1 pick\u00a0 Bryce Young on Day 1 of training camp, while his team the Houston Texans are making him compete with Davis Mills.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m happy for him, but his situation is his situation, and my situation is mine,\u201d Stroud said on Sunday. \u201cSo, I know that I\u2019ve got to work on my end and do whatever I\u2019ve got to do to make this team better. It\u2019s not about the starter (or) who\u2019s not the starter, it\u2019s about getting better for Week 1 against Baltimore.\u201d<\/p>\n
Houston drafted Stroud after Mills struggled as the team\u2019s starter for the past two years after Deshaun Watson sat out following a trade request before being sent to Cleveland the year prior.<\/p>\n
Mills went 5-22-1 in 28 games, including 26 starts, as the Texans were among the NFL\u2019s worst teams.<\/p>\n
