He signed a new one-year, $2.9 million contract with Philadelphia just a few weeks ago, but it looks like he will miss most, if not all, of the upcoming season. During the 2022\/23 season, Harrell was the backup to NBA MVP Joel Embiid and averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game in 57 games.<\/p>\n<p>Harrell&#8217;s injury is unlikely to be a serious problem for Philadelphia as they got three other players in the center position &#8211; the Ivorian Mo Bamba, the Serbian Filip Petrushev, as well as the Lithuanian Azhuolas Tubelis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Philadelphia 76ers center Montrezl Harrell has torn the cruciate ligaments and meniscus in his right knee, the NBA club announced.
