Mikel Arteta revealed that he was contemplating quitting his job as Arsenal manager after the Gunners infamous title collapse last season.<\/p>\n
Arsenal were leading the table with 8 points at one stage, but consecutive draws against Liverpool, West Ham and Southampton proved costly before a heavy loss to rivals Manchester City finally sealed the Gunners’ doom.<\/p>\n
“The first few weeks, very tough,” said Arteta.<\/p>\n
“The first thing you have to do is look in the mirror and understand – is there something that you should have done better or differently? If that is the case then learn from it.<\/p>\n
“It took a big reflection, but the answer is yes and I feel with a lot of energy and positiveness.”<\/p>\n
