Despite Red Bull dominating and winning all 12 races from the 2023 season, Lewis Hamilton hasn’t given up hope of his team clinching a win even with an inferior car.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old claimed pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix, his first pole since the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2021, where he also clinched his last victory.<\/p>\n
Despite not being able to convert in Budapest, Hamilton views this as a positive experience, one which draws him closer to the eventual race victory.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the moment, I’m not quite sure we can currently compete with [Red Bull] on race pace. I think there were times in [Hungary] Max was around eight tenths faster than everyone on a single lap. But never say never.\u201d he commented.<\/p>\n
Hamilton currently sits 4th in the Drivers Standings, a point adrift from Fernando Alonso in third.
