Manchester United can’t yet be considered as title contenders for this campaign, considering the amount of money, invested by rival teams, says Gary Neville.<\/p>\n
United have made big signings this summer such as Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana and Mason Mount, but that according to Neville is still not enough to make them go neck-and-neck with the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal.<\/p>\n
“There will be those that say Manchester United should be challenging for the title now.” Neville said.<\/p>\n
“But realistically, looking at where Arsenal are and how they have recruited this summer, and looking how established Manchester City are, I think it would be unrealistic and harsh to say Manchester United should be competing for the title.”<\/p>\n
The Red Devils finished 3rd last season, returning to the Champions League and also clinching their first silverware in 6 years with the League Cup.
