Anthony Richardson\u2019s managed to convince the Indianapolis Colts that he\u2019s ready to keep the job as a starter for next game against Jaguars.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, three days after the fourth overall draft pick made his pro debut at Buffalo, coach Shane Steichen named Richardson the Colts\u2019 opening day starter.<\/p>\n
Richardson\u2019s regular-season debut, on September 10 against Jacksonville, will be the seventh straight time Indy has had a different Week 1 starter.<\/p>\n
Scott Tolzien replaced the injured Andrew Luck in 2017 and ever since the starters have been different in the season-openers.<\/p>\n
