Aston Martin had a tremendous start to the 2023 campaign with star drivers Fernando Alonso clinching podium finishes in six out of the opening 8 races.<\/p>\n
However, since then it has been a steep downhill for the green cars as they have fallen behind not only Mercedes and Ferrari, but McLaren as well.<\/p>\n
Team Principal Mike Krack gave his insight as to why his team has suffered such setback and why do they now have the 5th fastest car.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, I think the cars are quite complex. You improve them, you try to bring upgrades and sometimes you create side effects.\u201d Krack said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd at the same time, we had some of our competitors making huge progress and this leads to dropping down in the pecking order. And you need a couple of events to analyse that, to understand it and to try and to help it.”<\/p>\n
The team boss further added that his team is fully motivated to get back to the podium finishes and hasn’t given up on this year’s car development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
