There are still details to be figured out in the negotiations between Napoli and Victor Osimhen over the striker’s contract extension, according to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.<\/p>\n
The forward’s agent Roberto Calenda held a series of meetings with representatives of Napoli this summer and an agreement was believed to have already been reached.<\/p>\n
Napoli are ready to pay the 24-year-old Nigerian international a salary of \u20ac15 million per season, which would make him the highest-paid player in Serie A by a mile. Victor Osimhen’s new contract is expected to include a \u20ac150 million release clause for teams outside Italy in the summer of 2024, and a year later it will also become valid for Italian clubs.<\/p>\n
“The president is the main man. We are still negotiating. We will see what happens until the end of the transfer window. For now I am a Napoli player, which is the most important thing.
