UEFA president Alexander Ceferin, shared his thoughts about big transfers to Saudi Arabia clubs in the past 12 months.<\/p>\n
Many football stars have opted for the millions and signed with clubs from Saudi Arabia, but according to the boss of European football, this is not a problem.<\/p>\n
“I don’t think the money from Saudi Arabia is a threat to European football. We have had similar cases before. Footballers were leaving their clubs to play in China. There were big offers from there, but Chinese football didn’t progress because of that. China did not qualify for the World Cup. This approach is not genuine. I think that in Saudi Arabia or anywhere else, they should invest in the education and development of coaches and players, but at the end of the day, it’s not my problem,” Ceferin said.<\/p>\n
“There are players who are at the end of their careers or those who are not ambitious enough to play in top leagues. As far as I know, Mbapp\u00e9 and Haaland are not dreaming of Saudi Arabia.
