Defensive coordinator Alan Williams resigned for what he said were personal reasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am taking a step back to take care of my health and my family,\u201d he said in a statement. \u201cI appreciate the opportunity to work with the Chicago Bears, a storied NFL franchise with a rich history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williams\u2019 resignation also comes after comments from quarterback Justin Fields indicating he is being given too much information by the coaching staff and thinking too much as a result rather than trusting his instincts.
