The San Jose Sharks will be open to hearing offers from other clubs about Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl.<\/p>\n
That is what the general manager Mike Grier said and he is certainly no stranger to unexpected moves in order to strengthen his team.<\/p>\n
Since taking over last July the Sharks have undergone a major rebuild, which saw elusive names such as Brent Burns, Timo Meier and Erik Karlsson leave.<\/p>\n
And many have wondered whether captain Couture and Hertl would soon follow suit.<\/p>\n
One obstacle, however, would be the asking price for both.<\/p>\n
Couture carries an average annual value of $8 million through 2026-27 with a three-team list of preferred trade destinations. Hertl, meanwhile, is in the second season of an eight-year deal worth $8.137 million per year and a full no-movement clause until 2025-26, when he’ll have a modified no-trade clause.<\/p>\n
