City manager Pep Guardiola has shared he has failed to get the best out of Kalvin Phillips since the player joined the club from Leeds.<\/p>\n<p>Kalvin inked with the Sky Blues during the 2022 summer transfer window.<\/p>\n<p>Despite costing 55 million dollars, Phillips will start for only 5<sup>th<\/sup> time for the Sky Blues when they face Newcastle in the EFL Cup at St James&#8217; Park.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Marcelo Bielsa gave Phillips the best of Phillips in his career,&#8221; shared the Manchester City boss.<\/p>\n<p>Kalvin became an England international under Bielsa while Leeds played in the Championship.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;d love to have achieved with Phillips what Bielsa has achieved with him.
