He posted the news on social media. It was performed by Dr. Keith Meister. Initially, he was diagnosed with forearm strain, but further scans showed the pitcher suffered a UCL sprain. At the time, the recovery time was still unknown as he made a push to join Miami for the postseason.<\/p>\n<p>However, on September 21 Alcantara experienced forearm tightness in a rehab outing with Triple-A Jacksonville and that pretty much sealed his doom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI give this game my all,\u201d Alcantara said in a social media post. \u201cI give this city my all, and so I promise I will not take a day off as I push to be back better than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alcantara has made 28 appearances this season, posting a 4.14 ERA and pitching three complete games.
