The 22-year-old midfielder placed the bets through several different accounts. If proven, he faces a sentence of three years or more and a fine starting at a minimum of \u20ac25,000.<\/p>\n<p>Fagioli is effectively breaking the law twice, because firstly, he is not allowed to bet on events of the same professional field in which he works, and secondly, it is a crime to do so on illegal platforms. It is precisely because of this that the prosecutor&#8217;s office in Naples got involved and started an investigation a few months ago.
