Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic will definitely miss his team’s preseason game on Friday with a calf injury and is also questionable for the season opener against the San Antonio Spurs on Oct. 25, Reuters reports.<\/p>\n
The Slovenian injured himself in training in Madrid on October 9 and underwent an MRI after the team’s return to Dallas.<\/p>\n
Mavericks coach Jason Kidd reassured reporters on Monday that his condition was not serious, but added that he “will be re-evaluated later in the week.” The day before the injury, Doncic played just five minutes, scoring 9 points in a pre-season game against Real Madrid.<\/p>\n
Kidd also said guard Kyrie Irving is recovering well from his groin injury. “He’s fine, we’ll see how he is tomorrow and he’ll move on,” the coach said.<\/p>\n
