Sergio Perez has enjoyed a difficult 2023 season after a strong start, which saw him almost level on points with Max Verstappen after 4 rounds.<\/p>\n
However, since then it has been downhill for the Mexican, who has struggled to keep up with his vastly superior teammate and has faltered an enormous 226 points behind him.<\/p>\n
This has caused many speculation as to whether he is still motivated and some have suggested he will retire from the sport.<\/p>\n
Team boss Christian Horner has snubbed all of the rumors, stating that Perez is fully committed to the team and has a great relationship with them.<\/p>\n
“First of all, there\u2019s absolutely no plan of any retirement!” Horner commented.<\/p>\n
