Lewis Hamilton expressed his disappointment at the W14 in Sao Paolo as he labelled the Brazil GP ‘the worst race of the year’.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old made a lightning start and found himself in third place from P5 on the grid. However, when the race resumed it was visible the Mercedes could not hold its ground and Hamilton slowly plummeted down the order.<\/p>\n
Eventually he finished in P8 after falling behind Alonso, Perez, Stroll, Sainz and even the Alpine of Gasly.<\/p>\n
“Well, it didn\u2019t feel as disastrous as [the Sprint] yesterday. Yesterday [when] I finished, I literally had no tyres left, they were worn to zero.” he said.<\/p>\n
“So, I feel like I drove a better race today in terms of managing the tyres to the best of my ability, but the car just \u2013 there\u2019s like moments it works and moments it doesn\u2019t.”<\/p>\n
Things looked even more disastrous for his teammate George Russell, who lacked even more pace and, on top of that, was forced to retire at the end.<\/p>\n
