Lando Norris shared his thoughts on McLaren’s nightmare Saturday by stating the team is where it deserves to be.<\/p>\n
The Woking team has enjoyed a superb run with Norris bagging 5 podiums in the last 6 races.<\/p>\n
But things looked far from perfect in Las Vegas as the Brit could only manage P16, while his teammate Oscar Piastri didn’t do much better, as the Australian lined up in second to last place in P19.<\/p>\n
“Not great because I got knocked out! But yeah, the pace of the car was where we are to be honest. It\u2019s where we\u2019ve been all weekend.” Norris said.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019ve been a long way off the pace, but I\u2019d say where we expected to be, honestly. It\u2019s been a tough weekend, just the car\u2019s not been performing where we\u2019ve been the last few weeks of course, so I guess that\u2019s disappointing.”<\/p>\n
“In a way I\u2019d say \u2013 not that I\u2019d say it\u2019s a great thing \u2013 but it\u2019s a good thing that it\u2019s kept us\u2026 a bit of a reality check, I\u2019d say. I\u2019d rather have that this year than next year, if that makes sense. Not what we wanted but it\u2019s kind of what we were expecting.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
