The midfielder failed to score in the 5-2 rout over North Macedonia and that has drawn the criticism in Italian press.<\/p>\n
Despite his woes, manager Luciano Spalletti seems keen to keep Jorginho as his regular penalty taker and has no plans of stripping him of this duty.<\/p>\n
Jorginho’s agent gave a further support to the struggling star.<\/p>\n
“I hope he steps up and takes it, he is a professional. Penalties are always a lottery, and there’s always a goalkeeper to beat.” he said.<\/p>\n
“Goalkeepers have improved a lot in recent years. And they study all the moves of the penalty takers. Today, it is more difficult to score than it is to make mistakes.”<\/p>\n
