Newcastle will be able to loan players from Saudi Arabia after being cleared of allegations by the other Premier League clubs.<\/p>\n
Only 13 teams voted for ban on loaning players from same ownership, which is just one vote short of the required majority.<\/p>\n
Strong suggestions pointed out that the Premier League was on the verge of introducing the ban, but in the end it failed to pass through.<\/p>\n
It means teams like Newcastle can safely trade players with clubs, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.<\/p>\n
PIF, which provided 80% of funds for the Newcastle takeover, took over four of the leading Saudi Arabian clubs in June – Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad and the Magpies have been linked with players from those clubs.<\/p>\n
The ban was supposed to be a temporary measure until the summer transfer window, before a concrete solution is being made. It affected only incoming, but not outcoming loan moves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
