Lewis Hamilton shared his relief that the 2023 campaign is finally over as the Mercedes driver endured a second consecutive winless season.<\/p>\n
The W14 proved to be a challenging package as both Mercedes drivers complained of its unpredictability all throughout.<\/p>\n
The season finale at Abu Dhabi was no different as Hamilton could only manage an unimpressive P9, a full minute behind race winner Max Verstappen.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s not been a great year in general. There\u2019s not a lot to take from the year in general. The fact that I survived it, probably that\u2019s about it.”‘ Hamilton said, reflecting on 2023.<\/p>\n
“At this moment I don\u2019t really know what will happen,” he added. “For Red Bull to win by 17 seconds in the end, and they haven\u2019t even developed their car since August, is definitely a concern.”<\/p>\n
“We\u2019ve learnt a lot about the car and it\u2019s just down to the team now. They know what they need to do, whether or not we\u2019ll get there, we\u2019ll see.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
