Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he held personal talks with Moises Caicedo to boost his confidence.<\/p>\n
Caicedo joined Chelsea from Brighton for a fee that could rise to \u00a3115m in a British record transfer but he has struggled to adapt to life at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
Despite that, Pochettino is adamant the 22-year-old needs to be given time in order to fully reveal his potential.<\/p>\n
“Before this press conference, he was in my office for twenty minutes. It is easy because we speak Spanish. It is a subconscious process and that is a problem – only in time can you adapt.” the Chelsea boss said.<\/p>\n
“We had no pre-season with him. We talk about footballers; it is physical and mental, and there is the talent. If you want to express your talent, you need to be clear in your mind and be good in your legs; otherwise, it is not possible to move.”<\/p>\n
The Colombian has so far made 14 appearances for the Blues so far as they look to improve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
