Garrett received notice of the fine on Saturday, and the information is being shared anonymously as the league has not yet made this week’s player fines public.<\/p>\n
Expressing frustration over not getting penalties for holding during the Jacksonville game, Garrett labeled the officiating a travesty after Cleveland’s 31-27 victory. He asserted that it’s time for officials to be held to a higher standard, emphasizing the need for accountability.<\/p>\n
“Someone has to hold them accountable for the plays or the calls they don’t make,” Garrett stated. “And they need to be under the same kind of microscope as we are every single play.”<\/p>\n
