Honorary president of Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeness, has stated that the club will assist Real Madrid in finding a doctor for the surgery of defender David Alaba. The 31-year-old Austrian tore his ACL during the match against Villarreal (4-1) in the 17th round of La Liga.<\/p>\n
Alaba has been diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee and will have to get a surgery that will sideline him for the rest of the season.<\/p>\n
“Today, I tried to contact David Alaba, but unfortunately, I couldn’t. At Bayern, we took care to have him operated on in Innsbruck by a doctor we trust,” said Hoeness, as quoted by Marca.<\/p>\n
According to Kleine Zeitung, Bayern’s trusted doctor is Austrian Christian Fink, who has previously performed knee surgeries on Manuel Neuer and Leroy Sane.<\/p>\n
