Christian Horner revealed that the Red Bull seat for 2025 is completely open and many drivers can fight for it.<\/p>\n
2023 was hugely successful year for the Austrian team as they secured both Championship with Sergio Perez finishing second in the Standings for their first 1-2.<\/p>\n
Despite that, the Mexican was some 290 points off an utterly dominant Max Verstappen and that has raised concerns for his future.<\/p>\n
Perez signed a new contract for 2024, but that doesn’t guarantee his spot for 2025.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a team, you want to field the most competitive pairing that you can have, and you want the right dynamic in the team,\u201d Horner said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMax and Checo have been a tremendously successful pairing. Checo, in his three years with us, has finished fourth, third and second so he\u2019s on a good trajectory. Daniel is well known to us \u2013 it’s great to have him back in the Red Bull fold \u2013 and of course everything is open for 2025 onwards.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us, to have options internally and also externally is no bad place to be.\u201d<\/p>\n
