Paul Merson gave an insightful analysis into Arsenal’s title-challenging squad this season and pointed out one player, who according to him, is not good enough for the Gunners’ aspirations.<\/p>\n
That player is Oleksandr Zinchenko and Merson always feels ‘worried’, when the Ukrainian is playing against top oppositions.<\/p>\n
“Arsenal are a different team now,” Merson said. “They’ve learned a lot from last season and Declan Rice has taken them to another level. I think they will go on and win it now.”<\/p>\n
“This could be their problem: The left-back. That’s poor defending against Liverpool.”<\/p>\n
“That’s my worry. I think they need Zinchenko for games against bottom-half teams, where they can go and play and dominate the game, but when they play the big boys they don’t.”<\/p>\n
Zinchenko had a difficult time against Mohamed Salah in their 1-1 draw at Anfield, allowing the midfielder to get past him for what proved to be the equalizer.<\/p>\n
