Sergio Perez has praised his team Red Bull for confiding their faith in him by offering a contract for 2024, despite his struggles in 2023.<\/p>\n
The Mexican started the season strongly, competing neck-and-neck with Max Verstappen, but a dip in form midseason saw him drop significantly off the Dutchman.<\/p>\n
Perez still finished second in the Drivers’ Standings, but the distance with his teammate was staggering – a whooping 290 points.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously we started really strongly the year, then we had a bit of a rollercoaster mid-season,\u201d said Perez. \u201cBut we didn\u2019t give up, we stuck together as a team, and I want to thank my whole team for supporting me.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe went through very tough times, but we managed to secure the best season in the history of our team with the constructors\u2019 title and one-two in the drivers\u2019 championship and we\u2019ve learned from those difficult moments, so we will come back next year stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n
