When the head coach and owner Robert Kraft stood together to share the decision, Bill referenced how much the organization\u2019s supporters had meant to him.<\/p>\n<p>Belichick\u2019s letter is &#8220;To Patriots fans everywhere,&#8221; which was featured in the Boston Globe newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Nowhere in the USA are pro sports supporters as passionate as in New England, and for 24 seasons, I was fortunate to feel your passion and power,&#8221; the legendary head coach wrote. &#8220;The Patriots are the only NFL franchise representing 6 states, but in reality, Patriots Nation has no borders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Belichick added that the fans supported the team no matter the weather and watched the Patriots on TV, the internet, and from the venue.
