Pep Guardiola shared that he thinks the Red Devils will “make a step forward” under new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe but claimed he’s “not worried” about the British billionaire’s comments that he wants to knock the Sky Blues “off their perch.”<\/p>\n
The new Man United owner stake was confirmed a few days ago, and the British billionaire, in his 1st interview as minority owner, revealed that his focus is to smash its city rivals on the pitch.<\/p>\n
Pep revealed that he is not worried about Sir Jim Ratcliffe\u2019s ambition but admitted that he expects Manchester United to become a better club with him.<\/p>\n
“His comments don\u2019t concern me at all,” Manchester City’s head coach shared with the media today.<\/p>\n
“I expect, and I\u2019m pretty sure with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the other people, the Red Devils are going to make a step forward. I saw they knew exactly what they had to do: hiring the people they needed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pep added that all big teams want to be at the top, but as long as he is in Manchester City, the same is valid for his team, and he will do everything possible to keep the Sky Blues at the highest level.<\/p>\n
