And that\u2019s not the only crucial addition to the franchise\u2019s coaching staff.<\/p>\n<p>The 49ers are promoting Nick Sorensen, the organization\u2019s defensive pass game specialist and nickel CBs manager, to the DC role that was vacant after the firing of Steve Wilks in the past month.
