The NFL franchise from the USA capital inked veteran TE <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/zach-ertz\/\">Zach Ertz<\/a> to a 1-year contract.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Three-time Pro Bowl TE Zach Ertz is signing with the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Commanders?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#Commanders<\/a> on a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, per source.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a reunion for Ertz and Kliff Kingsbury, who got him a ton of targets in Arizona, on a deal negotiated by agent and TE guru <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SteveCaric?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@SteveCaric<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WassermanNFL?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@WassermanNFL<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GYvJaTmax0\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/GYvJaTmax0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TomPelissero\/status\/1765449235917418694?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">March 6, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Zach, entering his 13<sup>th<\/sup> campaign, agreed to a deal worth up to 5 million dollars.<\/p>\n<p>The 33-year-old tight end competed in parts of 3 campaigns with the Cardinals, including 21 matches with Kliff in 2021 and &#8217;22.<\/p>\n<p>Ertz spent 7 matches with Arizona in the past campaign, catching 27 passes with 1 TD before being sidelined with a quadriceps problem. He inked to the Detroit Lions&#8217; practice squad the week before the NFC Championship Game but didn\u2019t get the chance to be on the roster for that match.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona traded for the tight end in October 2021. Under Kingsbury, he caught a combined 103 passes for 980 yards and 7 TDs. He missed the final 7 matches of &#8217;22 with a knee problem.<\/p>\n<p>Zach spent his 1<sup>st<\/sup> 9 years in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, catching 579 passes with 38 TDs.
