As the Reds face City in a crucial match with a one-point lead, Klopp, who announced his departure at the season’s end, expressed that it’s an opportune moment for a managerial change at Liverpool.<\/p>\n
Klopp stated on Friday, “I really think it is the perfect moment for a new manager and not the wrong call because we didn’t win everything, we left spaces.” He emphasized the difficulty of succeeding Guardiola at City, suggesting that winning championships consecutively for a decade might be necessary to match Guardiola’s legacy.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on Liverpool’s previous narrow misses in the Premier League, Klopp mentioned having no regrets about losing the title to City by one point in the 2018-2019 and 2021-2022 seasons.
