The exchange can\u2019t become official until the NFL\u2019s new season starts Wednesday and Mac passes a physical.<\/p>\n<p>Pats own the number 3 selection in the draft, where experts believe that they will pick 1 of the top-rated QBs as favorites right now, which are LSU&#8217;s Jayden Daniels and North Carolina&#8217;s Drake Maye.<\/p>\n<p>Mac, who grew up in Jacksonville, will play for his hometown as he will be <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/trevor-lawrence\/\">Trevor Lawrence<\/a>\u2019s reserve \u2013 the 1<sup>st<\/sup> selection in the 2021 draft. Jones was picked 15<sup>th<\/sup> overall at the same draft.<\/p>\n<p>Mac will have a competition with <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nfl\/player\/c-j-beathard\/\">C.J. Beathard<\/a> to determine who Trevor\u2019s primary reserve will be.
