Rafa Nadal will not be able to play in Monte Carlo, claiming his body “simply won’t allow” him to compete in the Masters, which begins at the end of the weekend.<\/p>\n
The Spaniard (37) made his long-awaited return at the beginning of the year at Brisbane International after almost a year out from the court.<\/p>\n
But Nadal sustained a hip problem, which didn\u2019t allow him to play at the Australian Open and didn\u2019t allow him to play since then.<\/p>\n
“It is very hard for me not to be able to play at these tournaments,” Rafael shared on social media.<\/p>\n
After missing Indian Wells in March and the Qatar Open before that, it was expected that the 22-time Grand Slam champ would make his return for the beginning of the clay season in Monte Carlo.<\/p>\n
