The Sabres ended with a 39-27-6 record and had been eliminated from postseason contention a few days ago.<\/p>\n<p>Don completed his 3<sup>rd<\/sup> full campaign with the Sabres after taking over on an interim level in the middle of the pandemic-shortened campaign after Ralph Krueger was dismissed.
