FIFA president Gianni Infantino says they have been sued by agents because they are trying to implement some clear and fair\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/MWLCzqK4U5\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/MWLCzqK4U5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Eric Njiru (@EricNjiiru) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EricNjiiru\/status\/1781402385849471323?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">April 19, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Gianni shared that more money must be going to \u201cthe teams that trained and developed the footballers inked from abroad\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The EPL sides spent a combined almost 410 million pounds on agents within a year to February 2024, the FA announced a few days ago.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Most of these funds are leaving our game,&#8221; the head of football&#8217;s world governing body claimed.<\/p>\n<p>FIFA has been trying to limit the money that the agents could receive from transfers, but the battle will be long because the agents are suing the football governing body.<\/p>\n<p>Infantino added that they are working hard to implement some clear and fair rules to fix the system but agents are fighting in the court for these changes not to happen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FIFA chief Gianni Infantino has criticized Premier League teams\u2019 spending on agents.
