Although specific terms were not disclosed, The Athletic reported that Budenholzer signed a five-year contract for over $50 million.<\/p>\n<p>Suns owner Mat Ishbia expressed enthusiasm about the appointment, stating, &#8220;We&#8217;re excited to name Mike as the head coach of the Phoenix Suns and bring him back to his home state of Arizona. Mike has proven himself to be among the most successful head coaches in the NBA. The 54-year-old coach, hailing from Holbrook, Ariz., previously led the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nba\/team\/milwaukee-bucks\/\">Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> to an NBA title before his departure in May 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Budenholzer stated, &#8220;I am honored to be named head coach of the Phoenix Suns, the team I grew up watching.
