Brown shot 14 of 27 from the floor, made 8 of 11 free throws, and grabbed five rebounds.

The Celtics held a 13-point lead after three quarters, and the Pacers couldn’t cut the deficit to fewer than 11 points in the fourth. This win gave Boston a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, which shifts to Indianapolis for Game 3 on Saturday. Boston had previously won Game 1 133-128 in overtime.

The Pacers are uncertain if point guard Tyrese Haliburton will be available for the next game after he left in the third quarter with left hamstring soreness. Before exiting, Haliburton scored 10 points and dished out eight assists in 28 minutes. He had missed 10 games in January due to a left hamstring strain.

Jaylen Brown vs. the Pacers in Game 2

▫️40 Points
▫️5 Rebounds
▫️2 Assists
▫️1 Steal
▫️14-27 FG
▫️4-10 3PT
▫️CELTICS WIN!

Respect HIM! ☘️😤☘️ pic.twitter.com/z7HdZgTEbw

— 𝙍𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙮 ☘️ (@CelticsRiley) May 24, 2024

Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 28 points, hitting 13 of 17 field-goal attempts.
