Formula 1 needs to look at ways to evolve and adapt Monaco’s Formula One race to avoid repeats of today\u2019s processional race.<\/p>\n
While Ferrari pilot Charles Leclerc provided a fantastic storyline with his 1st<\/sup> victory at home, the Monaco GP was not so interested aside from the collision between Sergio Perez and the Haas pilots on the opening lap that led a red flag.<\/p>\n The suspension meant pilots were able to change tyres before the restart, meaning most did not need to pit again until the end.<\/p>\n For the 1st<\/sup> time in any race stretching back to the formation of F1 in 1950, the top 10 finished in the same position that they qualified.<\/p>\n “It was not very interesting competition,” Red Bull chief Christian Horner shared with reporters after the race. “The top 10 is as it began; the red flag, without a doubt, killed the competition because drivers just were going to run to the end of the Grand Prix.\u201d<\/p>\n Red Bull hasn't had to concern itself much with how Mercedes approaches #F1<\/a> races in 2024.<\/p>\n But that changed in Monaco – and Christian Horner couldn't resist letting slip that he was unimpressed with what he saw. pic.twitter.com\/BsSSggYkCW<\/a><\/p>\n — The Race (@wearetherace) May 26, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n \n
