His relationship with Ty and the organization\u2019s fondness for Van Gundy was the major factor to secure him.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff (62) spent the previous 16 seasons as a TV analyst for ESPN before accepting a position with the Celtics in the past summer.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff and the Clippers head coach built a strong relationship as members of the country\u2019s national basketball staff, and Lue wanted to land his friend as part of his staff with the Clips.
