Redick, who played 15 seasons in the NBA, has no prior coaching experience but was still chosen as the Lakers&#8217; top target. He has been offered a four-year contract, though the financial details have not been disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Redick&#8217;s appointment comes after UConn coach Dan Hurley rejected a six-year, $70 million offer to move to the NBA. Hurley, a two-time reigning national champion with UConn, decided to remain in college basketball rather than transition to coaching in the NBA.<\/p>\n<p>At 39, Redick co-hosts a basketball podcast with Lakers star <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nba\/player\/lebron-james\/\">LeBron James<\/a>, which began last March.
