They showed great determination, particularly in responding to a strong start by the Netherlands in the second half. Marcel Sabitzer&#8217;s late strike ultimately secured the win for Austria.<\/p>\n<p>Austria took an early lead in the sixth minute when Donyell Malen turned Alexander Prass\u2019s dangerous cross into his own net. Malen had a chance to redeem himself but missed his shot, allowing Austria to maintain control as the Netherlands struggled to maintain possession.<\/p>\n<p>Austria had further opportunities to extend their lead through Sabitzer and Marko Arnautovic. However, the Dutch equalized just 75 seconds into the second half when Cody Gakpo curled in a fine finish, which changed the tempo of the game.<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands continued to push, and Virgil van Dijk\u2019s header deflected over the bar.
