He was originally acquired by the Warriors via trade with Washington on July 6, 2023. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/x5WQvsj220\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/x5WQvsj220<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Golden State Warriors (@warriors) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/warriors\/status\/1807539954937176122?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">June 30, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The guard now becomes an unrestricted free agent.<\/p>\n<p>Golden State pushed back Chris\u2019 guarantee date to right ahead of free agency as they searched for ways to use his deal in a trade, but were unable to do so.<\/p>\n<p>The guard came off the bench for the 1<sup>st<\/sup> time in his Hall of Fame career in the past campaign, accepting a reduced role with Golden State after he became part of the Dubs after a trade involving Jordan Poole a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>Paul played great in his 19<sup>th<\/sup> campaign in the league, averaging almost 10 points and 7 assists in almost 27 minutes on the court as he inspired the team from the bench.<\/p>\n<p>The guard, who turned 39 two months ago, ranks as the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> oldest basketballer in the league behind LeBron and Tucker.
