{"id":485052,"date":"2024-07-08T13:13:55","date_gmt":"2024-07-08T17:13:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=485052"},"modified":"2024-07-08T13:13:55","modified_gmt":"2024-07-08T17:13:55","slug":"england-netherlands-official-served-match-fixing-suspension","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/england-netherlands-official-served-match-fixing-suspension\/","title":{"rendered":"England-Netherlands official served match-fixing suspension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UEFA have selected an official previously convicted of match-fixing and whose integrity was publicly questioned by Jude Bellingham for the \u00bd final between the Three Lions and the Dutch.<\/p>\n<p>Felix Zwayer will be the referee in tomorrow\u2019s match in Dortmund despite being suspended for 6 months in 2005 after taking a 300 euro bribe from another referee named Robert Hoyzer.<\/p>\n<p>Almost 20 years ago, a probe found Zwayer guilty of accepting a bribe to favor German club SV Wuppertal in their game vs. Werder Bremen Amateure in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>England star Jude Bellingham spoke about that in a postmatch interview in 2021 after Borussia Dortmund was defeated 3-2 by Bayern Munich in a crucial Bundesliga match.<\/p>\n<p>Real Madrid midfielder, who competed for Dortmund at that time, claimed: &#8220;You can look at a lot of the decisions in the match.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You give an official that has match-fixed before, the biggest match in the Bundesliga.
