{"id":485216,"date":"2024-07-13T06:08:54","date_gmt":"2024-07-13T10:08:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=485216"},"modified":"2024-07-13T06:08:54","modified_gmt":"2024-07-13T10:08:54","slug":"marsch-reveals-he-has-no-interest-in-being-usa-head-coach","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/marsch-reveals-he-has-no-interest-in-being-usa-head-coach\/","title":{"rendered":"Marsch reveals he has no interest in being USA head coach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Canada manager Jesse Marsch, an ex-candidate for the U.S. men&#8217;s national team head coaching position, has shared he has &#8220;no interest&#8221; in replacing Gregg Berhalter as USA head coach.<\/p>\n<p>Berhalter was dismissed 3 days ago after the USA\u2019s poor performance at the 2024 Copa America that they hosted as the team failed to advance from the group stage after losing against Uruguay and Panama.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I will continue to be Canada\u2019s manager, I have no interest in the U.S. opening,&#8221; Jesse shared with the media ahead of Canada&#8217;s Copa America 3<sup>rd<\/sup>-place playoff vs. Uruguay in Charlotte, North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And to be honest, unless there&#8217;s a big shift in the organization, I don&#8217;t believe that I&#8217;ll ever have any interest in leading the USMNT in the future. I\u2019m happy where I\u2019m at the moment.
