BBC Sport (@BBCSport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BBCSport\/status\/1816388576264827119?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">July 25, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The 3-time Grand Slam champ has announced he will retire at the end of what is his 5<sup>th<\/sup> Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>It means the final single clash of his career was vs. Jordan Thompson in the 2<sup>nd<\/sup>-round at Queen&#8217;s last month, when Andy was forced to abandon the match with a back problem.<\/p>\n<p>The problem also led him to miss singles at Wimbledon, but he did compete a final doubles match at the place where he triumphed with 2 of his 3 Grand Slams.<\/p>\n<p>Andy will partner with Dan Evans at the upcoming tournament, with the pair to face Japan&#8217;s Taro Daniel and Kei Nishikori in the 1<sup>st<\/sup> round.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I decided to miss the singles to focus on the doubles with Evans,&#8221;
